Job Requirements
- Must have previous cook experience with skills in special diets including diabetic, puree, etc.
- prior culinary, food service, or restaurant experience
- San Bernardino Food Handler's certification
- working knowledge of food preparation techniques
- general knowledge of sanitation practices in a commercial kitchen environment
- thorough knowledge of food safety regulations
- ability to follow recipes and menus accurately
- experience in cooking for large groups
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff
- high school diploma or equivalent
- experience in a similar role is preferred

Job Duties
- Prepare and cook meals according to established menus and dietary guidelines
- prepare meals for residents with special dietary needs, including those with allergies or other restrictions
- bake a variety of desserts and baked goods
- maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to strict sanitation protocols
- follow all food safety guidelines, including proper food storage and handling procedures
- monitor food inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- ensure all meals are presented attractively and served at the appropriate temperatures
- collaborate with the dietary team to plan menus and ensure resident satisfaction
- adhere to all company policies and procedures
- maintain a positive and professional demeanor
