Job Requirements
- Valid food handler license required before first scheduled shift
- Must have or obtain Kentucky Horse Racing Commission license provided at hire
- Ability to work on feet for extended periods in busy event environment
- Availability to work variable seasonal shifts including weekends and holidays
- 1 to 5 years relevant culinary or food service experience
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and food safety protocols
- Commitment to a professional, team-oriented work ethic
Job Qualifications
- 1 to 5 years experience in culinary or food service positions including restaurants, hotels, catering, stadiums, or banquet halls
- Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment, tools, and safe handling procedures
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously with attention to detail
- Professional conduct and team-oriented spirit
- Comfort with standing long periods and working in dynamic environments
- Availability to work seasonally in event-related roles aligned with Keeneland's spring and fall racing meets
- Valid Fayette County Food Handler License or equivalent certification such as ServeSafe
- License from the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission provided at hire
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook menu dishes across hospitality operations including concessions, banquets, track kitchen, and a la carte with consistency and quality
- Follow standardized recipes, plating guides, and food safety protocols
- Assist in food preparation, service, breakdown, and inventory management
- Maintain strict cleanliness, sanitation, and jurisdictional food safety standards such as the Fayette County Food Handler License or ServeSafe
- Work as part of a cohesive team in a dynamic, high-volume event environment
- Demonstrate flexibility to adapt to variable shifts including weekends and holidays
- Adopt Keeneland Hospitality culture and strive to exceed guest expectations
- Comply with Keeneland Hospitality uniform and personal grooming standards
- Ensure compliance and maintenance of health, sanitation, and food safety codes
