Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • must be able to obtain base security clearance
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
  • some food service experience necessary

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • some food service experience necessary
  • knowledge of basic mathematic calculations
  • knowledge of American system of weights and volume and conversions of weights, measurements and sizes
  • able to understand written and/or verbal instructions
  • able to work independently and as part of a team
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • capable of remaining on feet for long periods
  • able to wear required personal protective equipment

Job Duties

  • Prepare and store food following the prescribed recipes and product specifications
  • ensure food is presented in an appealing and timely manner
  • assist in food cost and control by progressively cooking, batch cooking, monitoring temperatures
  • practice excellent food service and sanitation practices in accordance with the HACCP guidelines
  • maintain cleanliness of work areas including daily cleaning and sanitizing of equipment, prep areas and work stations
  • work well independently and as part of a team
  • report all defective equipment to appropriate Assistant Manager
  • interact with customers and staff in a courteous manner
  • perform other duties as assigned
