Job Requirements
- One year of cooking experience required
- Must be available to work nights and weekends
- Ability to work a seasonal schedule with varying days and hours
- Ability to prepare food following federal, state and corporate standards
- Must adhere to safety policies including the use of protective gloves and proper lifting techniques
- Must maintain cleanliness and organization in kitchen and storage areas
- Must be able to perform physical tasks related to kitchen work
- Must comply with all company policies and procedures
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- At least one year of cooking experience
- Ability to prepare food according to standardized recipes
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards including HACCP
- Ability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work nights and weekends
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Willingness to attend in-service and safety meetings
- Basic record keeping and inventory management skills
Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
- Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
- Uses established ticket collection procedures during service and maintains records from the area worked
- Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
- Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat, ensuring food and supply items are stored per standards
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assists in production planning, record keeping, and reporting
- Assists in the ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required
- Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment, or accidents to the supervisor immediately
- Attends in-service and safety meetings
- Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers
- Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
- Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures in line with HACCP standards
- Shows personal commitment to safety and abides by company policies and procedures regarding safety equipment and techniques
- Performs other duties as assigned
