Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in food preparation or culinary environment
  • Ability to stand walk or sit for extended periods
  • Physical ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Willingness to adhere to safety policies and procedures
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be able to work full time in Fort Lauderdale location

Job Duties

  • Prepare ingredients for cooking including portioning chopping and storing food
  • Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
  • Weigh measure and mix ingredients
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes quality standards presentation standards and food preparation checklist
  • Prepare cold foods
  • Operate ovens stoves grills microwaves and fryers
  • Test foods to determine if cooked sufficiently
  • Monitor food quality during preparation
  • Set up and break down work station
  • Serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen area tables tools knives and equipment
  • Check and ensure temperature correctness of appliances and food
  • Follow company safety and security policies and procedures
  • Report maintenance needs accidents injuries and unsafe conditions
  • Complete safety training and certifications
  • Maintain clean and professional uniform and personal appearance
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Protect company assets
  • Communicate clearly and professionally
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships
  • Support team to reach common goals
  • Listen and respond appropriately to concerns of other employees
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards
  • Stand sit or walk for extended periods
  • Reach overhead and below knees including bending twisting pulling and stooping
  • Move lift carry push pull and place objects up to 25 pounds without assistance
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors
