Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in cooking or food preparation preferred
- Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand or walk for up to eight hours continuously
- Strong communication skills to interact with team members and management
- Willingness to comply with restaurant operational procedures and safety standards
- Flexible availability to work various shifts
- Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organization in the work area
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a food preparation or cooking role preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to follow detailed cooking and preparation instructions
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Physical stamina to perform lifting and prolonged standing
- Ability to work as part of a team and listen effectively to management
- Basic understanding of kitchen equipment and maintenance
Job Duties
- Sets up the batter table, collects all necessary smallwares, and prepares batter mix
- Ensures that call sheets are complete, posted and used
- Checks all equipment and immediately reports any malfunctions within the area to the Manager in Charge
- Color balances fryers and adds sufficient shortening to maintain proper shortening levels
- Filters and cleans all fryers at designated times following safety guidelines
- Pans sufficient chicken for operational needs
- Prepares and cooks all food products as dictated by business needs and management direction
- Ensures all food products meet specifications, procedures, and quality standards including designated holding times
- Maintains a clean work area by practicing clean-as-you-go methods and following sanitation and safety guidelines
- Verifies necessary product and supplies are stocked and available at batter area
- Maintains organization and cleanliness of the cooler
- Performs all other tasks as assigned by the Manager in Charge of Shift
