Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in cooking or food preparation preferred
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift weights up to 75 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends
  • Ability to adhere to company policies and standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous cooking or food preparation experience in a fast-paced environment is an asset
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and operate kitchen equipment
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with management and team members
  • Physical stamina to meet the demands of the job
  • Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Set up the batter table, collect all necessary smallwares, and prepare batter mix
  • Ensure that call sheets are complete, posted and used
  • Check all equipment and immediately report any malfunctions to the Manager in Charge
  • Color balance fryers and add sufficient shortening to maintain proper levels
  • Filter and clean all fryers at designated times following safety guidelines
  • Pan sufficient chicken for operational needs
  • Prepare and cook all food products as per business needs and Manager in Charge direction
  • Ensure all food products meet specifications, procedures and quality standards including holding times
  • Maintain a clean work area by practicing clean-as-you-go and following sanitation and safety guidelines
  • Verify all necessary products and supplies are stocked and available
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the cooler
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Manager in Charge of Shift
