Job Requirements
- Minimum high school education or equivalent
- Ability to perform medium to heavy lifting up to 50 pounds frequently and 75 pounds occasionally
- Capability to stand and/or walk for up to eight hours continually
- Willingness to follow safety protocols and use safety equipment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including shifts and weekends
- Commitment to clean and orderly work practices
- Capability to handle and prepare various food products safely and efficiently
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in a food preparation or cooking role is beneficial
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Good communication skills to collaborate with team and management
- Physical capability to perform demanding kitchen tasks
Job Duties
- Set up the batter table, collect all necessary smallwares, and prepare batter mix
- Ensure call sheets are complete, posted and used
- Check all equipment and immediately report any malfunctions to the Manager in Charge
- Color balance fryers and add sufficient shortening to maintain proper levels
- Filter and clean all fryers at designated times following safety guidelines
- Pan sufficient chicken as required by operational needs
- Prepare and cook food product as directed by Manager in Charge
- Ensure all food product meets specifications, procedures, and quality standards
- Maintain a clean work area by practicing clean-as-you-go
- Verify all necessary product and supplies are stocked and available
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the cooler
- Perform all other tasks assigned by Manager in Charge of Shift
