Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 75 pounds
  • Capacity to stand and walk on hard floors for up to eight hours
  • Ability to use cooking equipment safely

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in cooking or food preparation preferred
  • Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and operational procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Physical stamina to meet demands of the role

Job Duties

  • Sets up the batter table and prepares batter mix
  • Ensures call sheets are complete and used
  • Checks equipment and reports any malfunctions
  • Color balances fryers and maintains proper shortening levels
  • Filters and cleans fryers following safety guidelines
  • Pans sufficient chicken for operational needs
  • Prepares and cooks all food products as directed
  • Ensures food meets specifications and quality standards
  • Maintains a clean work area with clean-as-you-go practices
  • Verifies product and supplies are stocked at the batter area
  • Maintains organization and cleanliness of cooler
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by Manager in Charge of shift
