Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and 75 pounds occasionally
- Able to stand and walk on hard floors for up to 8 hours continuously
- Ability to push, pull and carry equipment such as batter tables and trash cans
- Willingness to follow all safety guidelines including use of safety equipment
- Ability to frequently stoop, squat and reach overhead
- Must be able to handle food items and supplies with manual dexterity
- Good communication skills to interact with customers and team members
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in a food preparation or cooking role recommended
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to follow operational procedures and quality specifications
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Physical capability to meet the demands of the role
Job Duties
- Set up the batter table, collect all necessary smallwares and prepare batter mix
- Ensure that call sheets are complete, posted and used
- Check all equipment and immediately report any malfunctions to the Manager in Charge
- Color balance fryers and add sufficient shortening to maintain proper shortening level
- Filter and clean all fryers at designated times following safety guidelines
- Pan sufficient chicken for operational needs
- Prepare and cook all food products as directed by the Manager in Charge
- Ensure all food products meet specifications, procedures and quality standards including holding times
- Maintain a clean work area by practicing clean-as-you-go procedures
- Verify all necessary product and supplies are stocked and available
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the cooler
- Perform all other tasks assigned by Manager in Charge of Shift
