Job Requirements
- Ability to stand and/or walk for periods up to eight hours
- Ability to lift frequently up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Must follow safety protocols including proper use of safety equipment
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization
- Ability to communicate effectively with management and team members
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous food preparation or cooking experience preferred
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills
- Team player attitude
Job Duties
- Sets up the batter table, collects all necessary smallwares, and prepares batter mix
- Ensures that call sheets are complete, posted and used
- Checks all equipment and immediately reports any malfunctions within the area to the Manager in Charge
- Color balances fryers and adds sufficient shortening to maintain proper shortening levels
- Filters and cleans all fryers at designated times following safety guidelines
- Pans sufficient chicken for operational needs
- Prepares and cooks all food products as directed by Manager in Charge
- Ensures all food products meet specifications and quality standards including designated holding times
- Maintains a clean work area practicing clean-as-you-go methods
- Verifies product and supplies are stocked at the batter area
- Maintains organization and cleanliness of the cooler
- Performs other tasks assigned by Manager in Charge
