Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand and/or walk for periods up to eight hours
  • Ability to lift frequently up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Must follow safety protocols including proper use of safety equipment
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management and team members

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous food preparation or cooking experience preferred
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Team player attitude

Job Duties

  • Sets up the batter table, collects all necessary smallwares, and prepares batter mix
  • Ensures that call sheets are complete, posted and used
  • Checks all equipment and immediately reports any malfunctions within the area to the Manager in Charge
  • Color balances fryers and adds sufficient shortening to maintain proper shortening levels
  • Filters and cleans all fryers at designated times following safety guidelines
  • Pans sufficient chicken for operational needs
  • Prepares and cooks all food products as directed by Manager in Charge
  • Ensures all food products meet specifications and quality standards including designated holding times
  • Maintains a clean work area practicing clean-as-you-go methods
  • Verifies product and supplies are stocked at the batter area
  • Maintains organization and cleanliness of the cooler
  • Performs other tasks assigned by Manager in Charge
