Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours on hard floors
  • Ability to use kitchen equipment safely
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management
  • Availability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous cooking or food preparation experience preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to follow detailed cooking specifications and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication and teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • Set up the batter table and prepare batter mix
  • Ensure call sheets are complete, posted, and used
  • Check all equipment and report malfunctions to the Manager in Charge
  • Color balance fryers and add sufficient shortening to maintain proper levels
  • Filter and clean fryers at designated times following safety guidelines
  • Pan sufficient chicken for operational needs
  • Prepare and cook food products according to business needs and Manager in Charge's direction
  • Ensure all food products meet specifications, procedures, and quality standards including designated holding times
  • Maintain a clean work area by practicing clean-as-you-go and following sanitation and safety guidelines
  • Verify product and supply stock at the batter area
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the cooler
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Manager in Charge
