Job Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand or walk for periods of up to eight hours
- Ability to frequently push or pull kitchen equipment
- Capability to stoop, squat, reach overhead and handle various items continuously
- Willingness to follow safety protocols and use provided safety equipment
- Ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
- Compliance with company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a food preparation or cooking role preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to follow detailed cooking procedures and standards
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Set up the batter table and prepare batter mix
- Ensure call sheets are complete, posted and used
- Check all equipment and report malfunctions to the Manager in Charge
- Color balance fryers and maintain proper shortening levels
- Filter and clean fryers following safety guidelines
- Pan sufficient chicken for operational needs
- Prepare and cook all food products as directed by the Manager in Charge
- Ensure all food meets Church’s specifications and quality standards
- Maintain a clean work area using clean-as-you-go practices
- Verify product and supplies are stocked at the batter area
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the cooler
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Manager in Charge of Shift
