Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds frequently
  • Ability to stand and walk on hard floors for up to eight hours
  • Ability to follow cooking procedures and safety guidelines
  • Good communication skills
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous cooking or food preparation experience preferred
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and recipes
  • Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment operation

Job Duties

  • Set up the batter table and prepare batter mix
  • Ensure call sheets are complete, posted and used
  • Check all equipment and report malfunctions to the Manager in Charge
  • Color balance fryers and maintain proper shortening level
  • Filter and clean fryers following safety guidelines
  • Pan sufficient chicken for operational needs
  • Prepare and cook food products as directed
  • Ensure all food meets specifications, procedures and quality standards
  • Maintain a clean work area with "clean-as-you-go" practices
  • Verify product and supplies are stocked at the batter area
  • Organize and clean the cooler
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by Manager in Charge of Shift
