Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to stand and walk on hard floors for up to eight hours
- Ability to follow cooking procedures and safety guidelines
- Good communication skills
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous cooking or food preparation experience preferred
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and recipes
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment operation
Job Duties
- Set up the batter table and prepare batter mix
- Ensure call sheets are complete, posted and used
- Check all equipment and report malfunctions to the Manager in Charge
- Color balance fryers and maintain proper shortening level
- Filter and clean fryers following safety guidelines
- Pan sufficient chicken for operational needs
- Prepare and cook food products as directed
- Ensure all food meets specifications, procedures and quality standards
- Maintain a clean work area with "clean-as-you-go" practices
- Verify product and supplies are stocked at the batter area
- Organize and clean the cooler
- Perform additional tasks assigned by Manager in Charge of Shift
