Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid sanitation certificate
- Ability to follow detailed recipes and instructions
- Capacity to handle cooking equipment safely
- Knowledge of basic diet requirements and food safety
- Ability to maintain a sanitary and safe working area
- Flexibility to work various shifts on a Registry/PRN basis
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Sanitation certificate required
- Experience in food preparation in a healthcare or similar setting preferred
- Knowledge of dietary restrictions and food safety protocols
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail
Job Duties
- Follow sanitation guidelines
- Follow recipes and preparation instructions
- Use cooking equipment accurately and efficiently
- Be knowledgeable of basic diet requirements
- Properly portion all food and ingredients per department standards
- Prepare food to accurate consistency per diet requirements
- Prep food items for current use and next day
- Follow production sheets and record all related HACCP documentation
- Promote a clean and safe environment of care using SAFE error prevention habits
- Provide the highest standard of privacy and confidentiality regarding patients, coworkers, and hospital information
