Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- one year of related experience
- certification for food handler training course completion within 21 days from employment date
- ability to work full-time shifts including AM and PM schedules
- strong communication skills
- capability to follow food safety protocols
Job Qualifications
- one year of related experience
- certified as completed the food handler training course by Jefferson County Department of Health within 21 days of employment
Job Duties
- prepare food items for patients, children, visitors, and staff using specialized equipment
- communicate recipe and production issues to supervisors
- develop and implement USDA menus for children up to 60 months
- ensure compliance with food safety standards
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the food preparation area
- assist with inventory and supply management
- collaborate with healthcare and dietary teams to meet patient nutritional needs
