Job Requirements

  • At least one year of cooking experience
  • ability to work per diem and flexible hours
  • capability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • commitment to maintaining food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to perform general cleaning duties
  • willingness to take initiative and solve problems

Job Qualifications

  • One year cooking experience
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • culinary arts degree preferred
  • completion of state or local food safety training course preferred
  • healthcare experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Preparing foods for patients, staff, and guests
  • assisting with general cleaning of cooking and eating areas
  • supervising dietary staff in the absence of the Manager
  • ensuring adherence to sanitation, safety, and infection control policies
  • accepting and understanding verbal and written instructions
  • providing high quality food preparation and service
  • maintaining equipment to meet department standards
  • maintaining high standards of food production and portion control
  • demonstrating a willingness to help with work that needs to be done
  • taking initiative to identify and solve problems
