Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food preparation
  • Knowledge and experience in working with elderly
  • Previous dementia experience preferred
  • Food Service Sanitation certificate according to state or local requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Basic reading and writing skills
  • Ability to speak English in an understandable manner

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food preparation
  • Knowledge and experience working with elderly individuals
  • Experience with dementia care preferred
  • Food Service Sanitation certificate according to state or local requirements
  • Basic reading and writing skills
  • Ability to speak English understandably

Job Duties

  • Prepare appetizing and nutritious meals for residents
  • Assist the Executive Chef in managing food service functions
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable kitchen environment
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Provide tactful and professional service to residents and staff
  • Support dietary requirements specific to elderly and dementia-affected individuals
  • Participate in employee appreciation events and trainings
