Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • basic reading and writing skills
  • ability to speak English in an understandable manner
  • previous experience in food preparation required
  • knowledge and experience in working with elderly and previous dementia experience preferred
  • food service sanitation certificate according to state or local requirements
  • ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods
  • ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • experience with dementia care preferred

Job Duties

  • prepare appetizing and nutritious meals for residents
  • assist the Executive Chef in managing food service functions
  • maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable kitchen and dining environment
  • follow state and local food safety regulations
  • accommodate special dietary needs of elderly and dementia patients
  • ensure proper handling and storage of food supplies
  • contribute to a positive and professional team atmosphere
