Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant culinary or food service experience
  • Knowledge of food safety standards
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Commitment to quality and food safety

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in senior living preferred
  • Experience with production methods, portion control and food handling safety required
  • Great organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail and presentation of food product
  • Ability to work weekends

Job Duties

  • Prepare hot and cold menu items including grill, saute station, salad-bar and service line
  • Ensure proper preparation, portioning and serving of foods as per menu cycle and standardized recipes
  • Taste and prepare food to determine quality and palatability
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and food preparation areas
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food service
  • Respond to dietary needs and preferences of residents
