Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Relevant culinary or food service experience
- Knowledge of food safety standards
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
- Strong teamwork skills
- Commitment to quality and food safety
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in senior living preferred
- Experience with production methods, portion control and food handling safety required
- Great organizational skills
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail and presentation of food product
- Ability to work weekends
Job Duties
- Prepare hot and cold menu items including grill, saute station, salad-bar and service line
- Ensure proper preparation, portioning and serving of foods as per menu cycle and standardized recipes
- Taste and prepare food to determine quality and palatability
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and food preparation areas
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food service
- Respond to dietary needs and preferences of residents
