As part of its growth and commitment to patient-centered care, River Vista is currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Cook to join their Dietary Services Team. This role is integral to ensuring that patients and staff receive nutritious, safe, and appetizing meals in line with therapeutic dietary requirements. The Cook will prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals according to approved menu cycles and production sheets, maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. This position requires expertise in quantity cooking, food service sanitation, and industrial kitchen operations. Beyond cooking duties, the Cook is expected to keep the kitchen and cafeteria areas clean and sanitary, adhere to food temperature standards during cooking, serving, and storage, support facility-wide quality and performance improvement goals, and maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information. The successful candidate will be trained in CPR and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), ensuring safety in a behavioral health care setting. This employment opportunity is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and who are committed to teamwork, professionalism, and dedication to serving vulnerable populations. Working at River Vista Behavioral Health offers the chance to contribute to a team focused on improving the quality of life for individuals with behavioral health needs, within a cutting-edge healthcare environment. The Cook role is an essential part of the hospital’s operations, supporting both patient recovery and staff wellbeing. Individuals interested in this position should possess relevant experience in quantity cooking, knowledge of therapeutic diets, and a strong understanding of food safety regulations in a healthcare context.
