Job Requirements
- Must have one to two years of institutional or restaurant experience
- ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, residents, and family members
- ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from internal and external sources
- proficiency in Microsoft Office
- ability to apply basic math skills
- flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and variable hours
- must pass pre-employment drug screen, physical exam, and background check

Job Duties
- Prepare, season, and cook food according to tested recipes for residents, visitors, and employees
- responsible for cleanliness of large equipment in preparation and serving areas
- plan cooking schedule so food is ready at serving time
- maintain quality of products throughout preparation and serving by means of routine temperature checks and taste tests
- set up food in steam tables and deliver more food as needed
- maintain portion control in preparation and serving
- check left-over perishables in refrigerator and freezer and arrange to use them
- perform other related duties as assigned
