  • two years of work experience required

Job Qualifications

  • vocational or on-the-job training in cooking preferred
  • two years of work experience required
  • experience in food production and cooking in demanding schedules preferred
  • cooking experience in hospitals and multi-site facilities preferred
  • familiarity with computer software such as inventory and ordering systems preferred
  • Food Service Managers Certification with photo preferred

Job Duties

  • assist in preparing and cooking foods following quantity and batch cooking methods
  • comply with University Health and Department policies and procedures
  • ensure proper care and use of foods, supplies, and equipment
  • adhere to safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations
  • maintain good guest and working relations
  • meet established daily deadlines with accuracy and quality performance
  • perform duties efficiently and competently
