Job Requirements
- ability to read, write and speak English
- understand oral and written instructions
- perform simple arithmetic
- high school diploma or equivalent experience required
- two years of work experience required
- vocational or on-the-job training in cooking preferred
- five years experience in food production and cooking in demanding schedules preferred
- experience in hospitals and multi-site facilities preferred
- familiarity with inventory and ordering software preferred
- maintain current Food Service Managers Certification with photo from the Metropolitan Health Department preferred

- assist in preparing and cooking foods using quantity and batch cooking methods

- ensure proper care and use of foods, supplies, and equipment
- comply with safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations
- maintain good guest and working relations
- assure competent, efficient and timely performance of duties
- meet established daily deadlines with accuracy and quality
