Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or currently attending high school
- Valid Texas Food Handlers certification
- Flexible schedule to work evenings and weekends
- Ability to lift no more than 20 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects up to 25 pounds
- Knowledge of food and beverage operations
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations
- Good personal behavior and ability to maintain a positive environment
- Ability to interact with people of diverse social, economic, and ethnic backgrounds
- Effective communication skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Texas Food Handlers certification
- Knowledge of food and beverage operations and inventory management
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and sanitation guidelines
- Ability to act quickly and calmly in emergency situations
- Effective communication skills verbally and in writing
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers and the public
- Moderate level of technological competency
Job Duties
- Perform food preparation and cook items that usually require short preparation time
- Follow safe handling standards for stocking, rotating, and storing products
- Pull expired products from inventory
- Follow all safety and health policies and procedures such as the use of protective equipment and proper refrigeration
- Operate work related machines, tools, and equipment such as grills and fryers
- Clean food preparation equipment, work areas, and counters or tables
- Perform general cleaning activities in kitchen and dining areas
- Complete opening and closing restaurant duties in accordance with policy and procedures
- Perform related work as required
