Job Requirements

  • Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification required by first day of work
  • one or more years of experience as a Cook preferred
  • ability to read and communicate effectively in English
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • knowledge of safe food handling techniques
  • understanding of workflow, prioritization, and deadlines
  • ability to provide exceptional customer service preferred
  • knowledge of modified diet food preparation preferred
  • experience with commercial cooking equipment preferred

  • Prepares and cooks food
  • serves customers
  • completes other duties as assigned
  • follows recipes and instructions in food preparation
  • prepares bulk and large scale food items
  • assembles specialty meals and catered items
  • maintains sanitary and organized work environment
  • controls production quantities with proper rotation
  • interacts with customers in catering, retail, and patient care settings
  • delivers patient meals
  • performs cashier duties
  • stocks supplies
  • operates automatic and manual ware-washing machines
