Job Requirements
- Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification required by first day of work
- one or more years of experience as a Cook preferred
- ability to read and communicate effectively in English
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- knowledge of safe food handling techniques
- understanding of workflow, prioritization, and deadlines
- ability to provide exceptional customer service preferred
- knowledge of modified diet food preparation preferred
- experience with commercial cooking equipment preferred

Job Duties
- Prepares and cooks food
- serves customers
- completes other duties as assigned
- follows recipes and instructions in food preparation
- prepares bulk and large scale food items
- assembles specialty meals and catered items
- maintains sanitary and organized work environment
- controls production quantities with proper rotation
- interacts with customers in catering, retail, and patient care settings
- delivers patient meals
- performs cashier duties
- stocks supplies
- operates automatic and manual ware-washing machines
