Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Two to four years of relevant food service experience
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical capability to stand for long periods and lift at least 30 pounds
  • Basic English reading and speaking skills
  • Must maintain personal hygiene and professional appearance
  • Ability to follow safety policies and sanitation procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be punctual and dependable
  • Ability to read and retain information such as recipes and prep lists
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Must be proactive and able to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to walk long distances and act quickly on assigned duties
  • Knowledge of basic food safety and hygiene standards

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Degree or certificate in culinary arts preferred
  • Two to four years of experience in a fast-paced restaurant, catering, or relevant food service environment
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and organized with the ability to prioritize
  • Knowledge of sanitation procedures and ability to maintain cleanliness
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to changing conditions
  • Punctual and dependable
  • Ability to read, retain, and follow recipes, prep lists, menus, and signage
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Ability to speak and read basic English
  • Strong teamwork skills with ability to work well under stress
  • Ability to maintain personal hygiene and well-groomed appearance
  • Physical capability to stand, kneel, lift at least 30 pounds, carry items, push carts, and walk quickly
  • Experience working in a fast-paced professional kitchen

Job Duties

  • Maintain a friendly, positive attitude and a professional demeanor at all times
  • Report for scheduled events on time and promptly report to assigned areas
  • Fulfill opening and closing duties as assigned
  • Prepare food using correct recipes and meet established timelines
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of walk-in coolers, reach-ins, dry storage, and work areas
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, attendants, runners, chefs, and management
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team with other service departments within the venue
  • Ensure attention to detail exceeds expectations
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and orderly kitchen environment
  • Complete closing duties and checkout procedures with manager or supervisor
  • Know the layout of the kitchen and back-of-house including emergency and facility locations
  • Stay aware of other food and beverage outlets within the venue
  • Be flexible to reassignment within the venue as needed
  • Work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays to meet service demand levels
