Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 6 months to 2 years of cooking experience or equivalent education
- Southern Nevada Health District Health Card
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Excellent knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and memos
- Flexibility and ability to multitask effectively
- Friendly and professional demeanor
- Open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods
Job Duties
- Prepare high-quality pizzas and menu items according to customer orders
- Bake pizzas in ovens and prepare pizza dough
- Cut, grate, and slice various ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations and kitchen equipment
- Operate kitchen equipment including dough mixers, pizza ovens, grills, and stovetops
- Prepare meats, poultry, fish, vegetables, and fruits using various cooking methods
- Adhere to food storage, handling, and safety regulations
- Follow production schedules and maintain portion control
- Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at the workstation
- Ensure proper plate presentation and garnish setup for all dishes
- Report any substandard products or quality concerns to the sous chef immediately
- Handle lifting and moving equipment safely
- Comply with OSHA safety regulations and health department requirements
