Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • minimum 6 months to 2 years cooking experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Southern Nevada Health District Health Card
  • ability to lift at least 50 pounds, with assistance if needed
  • ability to stand for prolonged periods
  • ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
  • basic knife skills in compliance with OSHA safety regulations
  • ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
  • exceptional communication skills
  • ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • open availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare high-quality pizzas and other menu items according to customers' orders
  • bake pizzas in an oven and prepare pizza dough
  • cut, grate, or slice various ingredients
  • remove pizza debris from ovens
  • maintain all areas in accordance with Health Department and FSS auditing
  • complete all daily menus and food products on the kitchen line
  • report poor product or below quality items to sous chef or higher immediately
  • operate kitchen equipment including dough mixers, pizza oven, knives, grills, stovetops
  • prepare meats, poultry, game, fish, vegetables, and fruits including washing, peeling, cutting, seeding
  • weigh and measure ingredients
  • apply cooking methods such as steaming, sautéing, frying, baking, roasting, braising, boiling, poaching, broiling
  • maintain food storage and handling procedures
  • uphold food quality and nutritional standards
  • perform technical culinary food production, portion control, and service standards
  • follow production schedule and cooking temperature protocols
  • maintain clean and sanitary work station and equipment
  • stock sufficient food products at work station
  • adhere to proper plate presentation and garnish setup
  • store, rotate, and manage food products per guidelines
  • comply with safety regulations and OSHA standards
