Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- minimum 6 months to 2 years cooking experience or equivalent education and experience
- Southern Nevada Health District Health Card
- ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations
- ability to traverse all parts of the restaurant quickly
- ability to stand for prolonged periods including entire shift
- must be able to lift at least 50 pounds with assistance if needed
- ability to read and visually verify information in small print
- ability to inspect tools and equipment for defects
- ability to move quickly and turn left or right
- wrist flexibility to scoop, twist, push, pull, lift, bend
- reach overhead and below knees including bending, twisting, pulling, stooping
- mobility in walk-in refrigerator and freezer with temperatures ranging from 40 F to -10 F

Job Duties
- Maintain all areas according to health department and food safety standards
- complete all daily menus and food products on all parts of the line/kitchen
- report poor product or below quality items immediately
- operate kitchen equipment including dough mixers, pizza oven, knives, grills, stovetops
- prepare meats, poultry, game, fish, vegetables, and fruits including washing, peeling, cutting, seeding
- weigh and measure ingredients
- apply cooking methods such as steaming, sautéing, frying, baking, roasting, braising, boiling, poaching, broiling
- maintain food storage and handling procedures
- uphold food quality and nutritional standards
- perform technical culinary food production, portion control, and service standards
- follow production schedule
- maintain cooking temperature, product cooling, and labeling
- lift and move equipment
- keep work station and equipment clean and sanitary
- stock and maintain sufficient food products
- follow proper plate presentation and garnish setup
- properly store, rotate, and manage food products following guidelines
- possess basic knife skills and operate kitchen equipment safely
- put away product according to health department
