Job Requirements

  • Six months of experience in quantity food preparation or graduation from an approved culinary program
  • Food Handlers Card or ServSafe Certificate or able to pass Food Handlers Test given by verified manager or designee
  • Willingness to work varied shifts including weekends
  • Ability to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced healthcare food service environment

Job Qualifications

  • Six months of experience in quantity food preparation or graduation from an approved culinary program
  • Food Handlers Card or ServSafe Certificate or able to pass Food Handlers Test given by verified manager or designee
  • Experience in quantity food preparation in healthcare preferred
  • ServSafe Certificate preferred
  • Formal culinary or quantity cooking education preferred

Job Duties

  • Coordinate and prepare a volume production of meals for patients, cafeteria, and catering/special events
  • Support food service operational systems including safe food handling and volume food production
  • Assist in menu development and modification
  • Assemble meals and control portions accurately
  • Manage inventory effectively
  • Maintain infection control and sanitation standards
  • Follow established policies and procedures to ensure compliance with food and safety regulatory requirements
