Job Requirements

  • High school graduate preferred
  • Two years of related experience or completion of Cook competency checklist if currently employed at NorthBay Nutrition
  • Current Safe Food Handler's certificate
  • Ability to comply with state and federal hygiene and safety standards
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing work conditions

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate preferred
  • Two years of experience with hot food preparation and production in healthcare or institutional food service or current Nutrition department employee with completed Cook competency checklist
  • Current Safe Food Handler's certificate
  • Knowledge of sanitation, safety, and infection control procedures
  • Ability to work with a variety of individual personalities
  • Ability to adapt to changing conditions

Job Duties

  • Maintain state and federal safety and cleanliness standards
  • Prepare and produce hot food items
  • Distribute meals within and between healthcare facilities
  • Sanitize kitchen facilities and equipment
  • Assemble and produce tray-line meals
  • Manage product inventory and ordering
  • Participate in departmental projects and programs
