Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Two years of experience in large scale food preparation
- Training in institutional food preparation
- Ability to work prolonged periods standing and walking
- Capacity to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds
- Ability to perform manual tasks such as handling, grasping, twisting, and turning
- Normal hearing and vision capabilities
- Ability to maintain sanitary standards and complete documentation
- Willingness to work as part of a team and follow safety protocols
Job Qualifications

- Two years of experience in large-scale food preparation
- Training in institutional food preparation
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain food quality standards
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff
- Willingness to take on increased responsibility and learn new skills
Job Duties
- Previews menus and work orders to determine types and quantities of meats, vegetables, and soups to be prepared
- Plans and coordinates cooking schedules to ensure food is at peak quality and proper temperature
- Prepares, seasons, and cooks food to achieve highest customer satisfaction
- Measures and mixes ingredients according to recipes and ensures all food meets standards for quality, freshness, taste, and appearance
- Maintains records of food production, including HACCP logs, production sheets, and sanitation schedules
- Inspects and maintains cleanliness and proper operation of cooking equipment and utensils
- Works to assume more responsibility and increase knowledge within the Nutrition Services staff
