Job Requirements

  • One year cooking experience required
  • Ability to accept and understand both verbal and written instructions
  • Knowledge of food preparation and sanitation standards
  • Ability to maintain high standards of food production and portion control
  • Willingness to assist with cleaning and other tasks as needed
  • Ability to take initiative and solve problems effectively
  • Post offer employment testing to be completed before first day of work

Job Qualifications

  • One year cooking experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Culinary arts degree preferred
  • Completion of state or local food safety training course preferred
  • Healthcare experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Accepting and understanding both verbal and written instructions
  • Providing high quality food preparation and service
  • Cleaning and maintaining equipment to meet department standards
  • Maintaining high standards of quality food production and portion control
  • Demonstrating a willingness to help with work that needs to be done
  • Taking initiative to not only identify problems, but to bring about a positive and sustainable solution
  • Supervising dietary staff in the absence of the Manager ensuring adherence to facility policies
