Job Requirements
- State of California Food Handler Certification or within three months of hire
- High school diploma or combination of education and experience
- Graduation from a recognized Culinary School or two years food production experience
- Ability to read, write and be understood in English
- Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Health locations

- Experience in training and developing culinary and production staff preferred
- Knowledge of HACCP standards
- Flexibility to work at all UCSF Health locations
Job Duties
- Prepare food for Patient Food Services, Cafés, Coffee shops and conference center events
- Establish and monitor food quality standards to ensure consistency and highest quality
- Monitor food temperatures to comply with safety standards
- Solve problems related to culinary services unit before, during and after meal periods
- Assist with and maintain safety and sanitation within the department
- Collaborate with culinary services team members to enhance service delivery
- Ensure compliance with UCSF Health policies and procedures
