Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Pastry degree preferred or equivalent training
  • ServSafe certified
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, reach and perform repetitive motions for 8-12 hours a day
  • Must love and support team members
  • Must be guest-focused and polite
  • Able to handle pressure and pay close attention to detail
  • Must maintain personal hygiene and follow sanitation standards
  • Must accept responsibility and accountability for actions

Job Qualifications

  • Two to four years of experience in a high volume, detail-oriented pastry kitchen
  • Knowledge of breads, pastries, confections, cake decorating, and ice cream making
  • Passionate about pastry and current with culinary concepts
  • Working knowledge of advanced pastry techniques
  • Strong communication skills and pleasant personality
  • Ability to work under high stress and multitask effectively
  • Familiarity with all kitchen equipment and safe operation
  • Proficient in mathematics and metric system for recipe conversions
  • Reliable and accountable

Job Duties

  • Assist the Pastry Chef with pastry production
  • Prepare pastries and breads in a timely manner
  • Follow standard recipes to ensure quality and presentation
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Support effective communication within the team
  • Contribute to departmental efficiency and productivity improvements
