Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • basic mathematical skills
  • ability to read and understand English
  • physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly
  • ability to stand, walk, and carry continuously throughout shift
  • compliance with food handling and safety regulations
  • willingness to work varying shifts including early mornings and late nights
  • availability to attend training and follow dress code and sanitation rules

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous cooking experience preferred
  • basic mathematical skills for measurements
  • ability to read and understand the English language
  • knowledge of food and beverage specifications
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • multitasking ability
  • ServSafe certification is a plus
  • organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Prepares all food items following standard recipes and procedures within specified time limits
  • assists cooks in the preparation of basic dessert items
  • preps assigned items according to Prep Lists and par levels set by management
  • stores and properly handles raw or prepared foods and non-food supplies
  • properly measures and assembles ingredients for standard recipes
  • cuts and/or portions meat, fish, and poultry
  • cleans and sanitizes production equipment, work surfaces, and kitchen according to cleaning schedules and procedures
  • maintains assigned workstation in a safe and sanitary condition
  • handles food in accordance with local health department guidelines
  • follows proper food handling techniques to avoid waste and unnecessary expense
  • maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene
  • complies with department's dress code
  • follows safety regulations and reports any unsafe conditions or injuries
  • attends in-service training and education sessions
  • follows all designated uniform, grooming, safety, and sanitation rules
  • performs other duties as assigned
