Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in kitchen preparation and cooking
  • serve safe certification required within 90 days of hire or transfer
  • ability to work flexible shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • physical ability to perform cooking and cleaning duties
  • compliance with infection control and food safety standards

Job Duties

  • prepare and serve high quality appealing and nutritious foods
  • perform large and small scale cooking, baking, and basic food preparation
  • clean and stock food service areas
  • properly use and care for institutional food service equipment
  • adhere strictly to infection control guidelines during food handling
  • follow dietary recipes, guidelines, and departmental policies
  • maintain kitchen cleanliness and safety
