Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- One year related experience
- Successful completion of hospital orientation
- Successful completion of department orientation
- Able to read and speak English
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more
- Must be able to stand or walk for 6 to 8 hours
- Must be able to pull or push carts and equipment for 6 to 8 hours
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
- Regularly lift or move up to 25 pounds
- Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
- Ability to talk or hear
- Good vision including close, distance, peripheral, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Willingness to work in a moderate noise environment
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation as determined case by case

Job Duties
- Maintains established standards for high food quality by using recipe cards and teamwork to ensure customer satisfaction
- Prepares assigned recipes according to production sheets and standardized recipe cards to meet daily quantity and quality needs
- Maintains appropriate sanitation in service and preparation areas to ensure a sanitary working environment
- Assures the safety of patients, staff and visitors through enforcement of department safety policies and procedures
- Performs additional assignments as required by the supervisor or manager
