Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • completion or progress towards completion of the cast certification program
  • completion or progress towards completion of the Food Safety ROU Course
  • ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, talk and hear frequently
  • ability to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • ability to lift up to 60 pounds
  • close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • excellent communication skills
  • reliable attendance
  • ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately
  • knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen procedures

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent if not currently a high school student
  • completion or progress towards completion of the cast certification program as a member of kitchen staff
  • completion or progress towards completion of the Food Safety ROU Course
  • possess good public speaking skills
  • listen effectively and respond clearly and directly
  • perform calculations with speed and accuracy and identify and correct errors
  • identify problems, gather relevant data and evaluate alternatives

Job Duties

  • Regular and consistent attendance
  • exceptional guest service skills
  • preparing designated menu items using approved recipes, portions and plate presentations
  • basic understanding of controlling food costs and how demand impacts costs
  • operating, preparing and cleaning all food preparation equipment, prep stations and kitchen areas
  • proper use of cleaning materials
  • ensuring proper inventory rotation through the FIFO method
  • proper use of related storerooms
  • knowledge of kitchen opening, closing and in-between show procedures
  • knowledge of emergency, evacuation and robbery procedures
  • compliance with local, state and federal food safety and sanitation laws
  • knowledge and compliance with dress code
  • abide by federal and state laws regarding breaks and meal periods
  • completion of or progress towards completion of cast certification program
  • reading and understanding training materials on sexual harassment and discrimination
