Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Proven experience working as a cook/prep cook
  • Possess a food handler card from a New Mexico approved food handler program
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and teamwork-oriented environment
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong service skills and a welcoming demeanor are required
  • Bilingual preferred, especially English and Spanish

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook food items according to standardized recipes and menu specifications
  • Adhere to portion control guidelines and presentation standards
  • Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures to ensure food quality and safety
  • Comply with all food and beverage regulations including NM Health Code and NM Environment Department standards
  • Maintain proper hygiene and clothing standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, including washing dishes and equipment
  • Receive inventory, and restock and replenish kitchen inventory and supplies
  • Complete weekly food inventory
  • Remain knowledgeable on menu offerings, ingredients, and potential allergens
  • Collaborate with food and beverage team members, cooks and managers to coordinate food preparation and order execution
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members to maintain a positive and informed work environment
  • Assist front-of-house F&B team members as needed
  • Assist with front-of-house cleaning as needed
  • Provide exceptional customer service by focusing on quality, speed, and customization
  • Report emergencies to the manager and respond appropriately to injuries and other emergencies
  • Follow and enforce safety rules
  • Maintain composure in stressful situations
  • Other duties as assigned
