Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Ability to perform meal preparation and kitchen management duties
  • Ability to pass criminal background checks
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel overnight when required
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, reach, and use hands frequently
  • Obtain and maintain CPR, First Aid, and Defensive Driving certifications
  • Possess and maintain Food Handler's Card and annual physical exam
  • Maintain current driver’s license without restrictions

Job Qualifications

  • At least two years of paid food service experience
  • Minimum one year of administrative food service duties experience
  • Ability to read and interpret safety and operational documents
  • Ability to write reports and correspondence
  • Proficiency in basic math calculations
  • Common sense problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Windows, Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel
  • CPR, First Aid, and Defensive Driving certifications
  • Valid driver’s license without restrictions
  • Current Food Service Certificates and Health Examination information

Job Duties

  • Prepares meals in compliance with dietitian-approved menus
  • Manages foodservice inventory and ordering
  • Maintains cleanliness and sanitary standards in kitchen and prep areas
  • Assists Director with coordinating outside agency inspections
  • Keeps accurate records of foodservice operations
  • Works assigned schedule and participates in required meetings and appointments
  • Maintains working knowledge of policies, safety, and emergency procedures
