Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Ability to perform meal preparation and kitchen management duties
- Ability to pass criminal background checks
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel overnight when required
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, and use hands frequently
- Obtain and maintain CPR, First Aid, and Defensive Driving certifications
- Possess and maintain Food Handler's Card and annual physical exam
- Maintain current driver’s license without restrictions
Job Qualifications
- At least two years of paid food service experience
- Minimum one year of administrative food service duties experience
- Ability to read and interpret safety and operational documents
- Ability to write reports and correspondence
- Proficiency in basic math calculations
- Common sense problem-solving skills
- Proficient with Windows, Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel
- CPR, First Aid, and Defensive Driving certifications
- Valid driver’s license without restrictions
- Current Food Service Certificates and Health Examination information
Job Duties
- Prepares meals in compliance with dietitian-approved menus
- Manages foodservice inventory and ordering
- Maintains cleanliness and sanitary standards in kitchen and prep areas
- Assists Director with coordinating outside agency inspections
- Keeps accurate records of foodservice operations
- Works assigned schedule and participates in required meetings and appointments
- Maintains working knowledge of policies, safety, and emergency procedures
