Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- at least one year of cooking experience for cook level
- for chef level, two years of cooking experience or completed culinary training
- ability to follow recipes and food safety regulations
- capacity to maintain a clean and safe work environment
- excellent multitasking skills
- ability to work under pressure within time limits
- good communication skills to liaise with other staff
- flexibility to adjust meals for special dietary needs
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, or as required by state regulations
- for Cook: one year cooking experience in a restaurant, health care or senior services setting
- for Chef: two years cooking experience in a restaurant, health care or senior services setting or completed culinary training/certification or vocational training/certification in commercial food preparation
Job Duties
- Follow established corporate recipes or those identified by the Culinary Services Director
- follow all ServSafe, governmental and corporate regulations for food safety and handling
- maintain a clean and safe work environment
- adjust food items to accommodate guests with allergies or specific diet concerns
- act as liaison to front-of-house employees to ensure proper food service temperature
- assist other cooks during the food assembly process
- ensure proper cleaning and sanitization of equipment and work areas
