Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in cooking or food service, preferably in a high-volume setting
  • Illinois Food Handlers Certificate or ability to get one within 30 days
  • Reliable, flexible, and a team player
  • Strong work ethic and ability to handle confidential matters with care
  • Able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, bend, reach, and perform other physical tasks
  • Must pass a physical exam and background check

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook large-batch meals following recipes and safety standards
  • Portion, store, and handle food according to health and sanitation regulations
  • Keep workstations clean, organized, and compliant with ServSafe guidelines
  • Operate and clean commercial kitchen equipment including ovens, mixers, steam tables, and slicers
  • Maintain accurate food inventory and assist with restocking
  • Work closely with teammates to ensure timely meal service
