Job Requirements

  • Previous food service experience is required
  • Ability to work part-time schedule including weekdays and weekends
  • Must comply with food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Ability to use kitchen equipment safely
  • Availability to attend safety and in-service meetings
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
  • Serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning, meeting standards and ensuring food is at correct temperature and attractive
  • Uses established ticket collection procedures during service
  • Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high cleanliness standards
  • Stores or discards excess food according to safe food-handling procedures
  • Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and ensures proper food storage
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting
  • Assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies
  • Reports maintenance needs, faulty equipment or accidents
  • Attends in-service and safety meetings
  • Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
  • Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
  • Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures, following HACCP standards
  • Commits personally to safety
  • Abides by all company policies and procedures including use of protective gear and safe lifting techniques
