Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • previous food preparation experience preferred
  • knowledge of basic cooking techniques and ability to operate kitchen equipment preferred
  • Serv-Safe certification or willingness to obtain upon hire

Job Duties

  • Prepares, cooks and serves food in accordance with established policies and procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
  • complies with food safety standards and guidelines during all phases of food handling
  • adheres to portion control by using standardized recipes and proper utensils for measurement
  • completes all required documentation including but not limited to food and equipment temperature logs
  • washes and sanitizes dishes, utensils and equipment, and returns to proper storage areas as requested
  • performs daily and/or scheduled cleaning tasks as assigned
  • operates and cleans equipment per department procedures
  • reports needed maintenance and faulty equipment to supervisor immediately
  • other duties as assigned by supervisor
