Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One year of cooking experience
  • Ability to work two days per week from 2 pm to 7 pm
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Fluent in English reading, writing, and speaking
  • Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively in a team

  • Passion for working with geriatric residents and understanding their special needs

Job Duties

  • Prepare meals according to planned menus and standardized recipes
  • Serve food following established portion control procedures
  • Ensure food is cooked at proper temperatures and complete required checklists and logs
  • Assist with inventory management and receiving deliveries
  • Work with the Executive Chef/Chef Manager to coordinate menus and special requests
  • Adapt schedule when necessary to accommodate urgent situations
  • Follow all safe food handling procedures including proper glove use
  • Perform daily and scheduled cleaning tasks according to company policies
  • Adhere to therapeutic and mechanically altered diet guidelines as required
