Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least two years of cooking experience in a restaurant, hotel, or similar food service operation
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • ability to follow recipes and prepare meals accurately
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work independently
  • availability to work the scheduled hours
  • must be self-motivated and organized

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience in senior living industry preferred but not required
  • at least two years of experience working in all stations of a hotel kitchen, restaurant, or similar operation
  • knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling standards
  • ability to communicate clearly and work cohesively with others
  • self-motivated, organized, and professional
  • strong customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare high-quality food following standard recipes and special diet orders
  • work with Director of Food & Beverage and Sous Chef to manage food and supply management
  • secure items in time for food preparation
  • ensure leftovers are stored correctly
  • maintain accurate food inventories
  • adhere to sanitation and safe food handling standards
  • communicate and work cohesively with restaurant team members
