Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Part-time availability including day shifts, occasional evenings, every third weekend, and rotating holidays
- Willingness to follow detailed instructions and recipes
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation during food preparation
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Working knowledge of food service preparation preferred
- Knowledge of HACCP procedures preferred
- Knowledge of Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture Sanitation Certification preferred
- Ability to learn and demonstrate new cooking techniques
- Experience in food service or related culinary work preferred
Job Duties
- Preparing food items for residents and team members
- Following sanitation and infection control standards during preparation and area cleanliness
- Handling leftover items properly
- Checking plated food for proper presentation and completeness
- Ensuring food temperature requirements are met
- Learning new cooking techniques and demonstrating these skills on the job
- Participating in ongoing culinary education and training programs
