Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Part-time availability including day shifts, occasional evenings, every third weekend, and rotating holidays
  • Willingness to follow detailed instructions and recipes
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation during food preparation
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of food service preparation preferred
  • Knowledge of HACCP procedures preferred
  • Knowledge of Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture Sanitation Certification preferred
  • Ability to learn and demonstrate new cooking techniques
  • Experience in food service or related culinary work preferred

Job Duties

  • Preparing food items for residents and team members
  • Following sanitation and infection control standards during preparation and area cleanliness
  • Handling leftover items properly
  • Checking plated food for proper presentation and completeness
  • Ensuring food temperature requirements are met
  • Learning new cooking techniques and demonstrating these skills on the job
  • Participating in ongoing culinary education and training programs
